Strong Encryption (AES) with FIPS Validation

FIPS Validated VPN

Columbitech’s cryptographic module is FIPS 140-2 certified.

Encryption is the process of transforming data using an algorithm to make it unreadable to anyone except those possessing special knowledge; this is usually referred to as a key. Encryption is especially important for organizations with mobile users transmitting data over a wireless public network.

A VPN solution should provide strong encryption of data, protecting organizations from vulnerabilities.

In cryptography, the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is an encryption standard adopted by the U.S. government. The standard comprises of AES-128, AES-192 and AES-256. The AES ciphers have been analyzed extensively and are now used worldwide. The use of validated cryptographic modules is required by the United States Government for all unclassified uses of cryptography. A FIPS validation ensures that the cryptographic module has been tested and meets the highest security requirements.

Columbitech Mobile VPN – the only FIPS 140-2 certified mobile VPN

Columbitech Mobile VPN supports the strongest security measures and uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) (up to 256 bits) and 3DES (112 bits) for symmetric encryption. RSA (up to 15,360 bits) is used for key exchange.

Columbitech Mobile VPN is the only mobile VPN product that has successfully completed the testing of its cryptographic module and is FIPS 140-2 certified.
