Columbitech today announces its first open source project.
We have decided to release the source code for our Robust Header Compression, RoHC v2, library to the general public.
RoHC allows compression of protocol headers down to a couple of bytes size. In e.g. VoIP applications, where packets are typically small, RoHC can drastically reduce the size of transmitted data.
Parts of the protocols in RFC 5225 are implemented and we hope to find interested contributors that might implement other protocols for their needs.
The project can be found on GitHub: https://github.com/Columbitech/rohc
